The annual NWSL Challenge Cup will be hosted, for the first time ever, in Columbus at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field on June 26. The match up will be between the 2025 NWSL Champions, Gotham FC and the 2025 NWSL Shield winners, Kansas City Current. Get your tickets here to watch Gotham FC vs. Kansas City Current.

🎉 Midwest Cards Anniversary in the Arena District

Midwest Cards is celebrating its 1st anniversary on June 27 at their location in the Arena District! The celebration will include live music, guest appearances and more!

Registration is open for the 2026 summer kickball season. Register before July 3 to ensure your team’s spot ahead of the season starting July 14. 👟 The 49th Annual Columbus 10K

The Columbus 10K is returning June 7th. The race entails a 6.2 mile tour of Columbus. The Finish Line Festival takes place after you cross the finish line with local beer, live music and more to celebrate your achievement! The Kids Run also happens before the main 10K for children 12 and under. Register to participate in the 10K or the Kids Run here.  

🎨 Spend a Day Surrounded by Art

The Columbus Arts Festival features more than 250 artists, four stages of live performances and dozens of interactive activities for visitors of all ages. Located along the Scioto Mile, stop by the Arena District for a bite to eat or a refreshing drink while you’re out and about. The festival runs June 12–14 and is free to attend.

🥒Pickle Palooza 

Pickle Palooza will be at Huntington Park 5-10 p.m. on June 27. Attendees will receive tokens to get pickle-themed food and drink of their choosing at the festival as well as a concert from All American Throwbacks, and a mechanical pickle and a Brine Chugging Contest.

🎆 The Midwest’s Largest Firework Festival

Red, White & Boom! is back on July 3 to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. The festival is a FREE day-long event filled with live music, a street festival and ending the night with fireworks. The event takes place near the Arena District, a close place to park and has many food and drink options to grab before the fireworks begin at 10 p.m.!

🚴 2026 Pelotonia: Ride Weekend

Ride Weekend is August 1-2, touring through areas of downtown Columbus. Participants can register to ride their bike across Central Ohio in routes ranging from 17 miles to 165 miles. Information to get involved or register can be found on the Ride Weekend website. 

🏃 Calling All Runners: OhioHealth Grandview Yard Half & Quarter Marathon

The OhioHealth Grandview Yard Marathon is taking place on August 23. There will be a half marathon, quarter marathon and 5K, perfect for runners at every level. The races feature tours of Grandview Heights, Marble Cliff, Upper Arlington and The Ohio State University, with race proceeds benefitting the Upper Arlington Foundation.
