PurpleStride is the signature event of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Each year, in communities across the country, tens of thousands of people participate in more than fifty-six PurpleStride events, including PurpleStride Columbus. These events are critical in raising awareness and funds that advance research and support patients and loved ones with a promise of a better tomorrow.
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is blazing new trails in the fight against pancreatic cancer. Join us for PurpleStride Columbus and together we will continue to rewrite the book on how to fight this deadly disease.
PurpleStride Columbus is back and better than ever! This year, our 5K run and family-friendly  Columbus event,  will take place on September 17, and will take participants on a lovely route at McFerson Commons. Register now and join us for a day filled with hope and inspiration to raise awareness and support for pancreatic cancer!
The American Cancer Society’s most recent estimates state that 43,920 people will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and 37,390 people will die of pancreatic cancer in 2012. The Journal of the American Medical Association states that pancreatic cancer is a serious disease, being the fourth leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States.
A dark purple ribbon is used to represent the ongoing fight against pancreatic cancer.
