PromoWest Live will be hosting Promowest Fest, an inaugural music festival to take place July 15-17 in Columbus, Ohio’s Arena District.
The festival will host national and local talent on three stages throughout McFerson Commons and North Bank Park. Three-day and VIP tickets will go on sale with the lineup announcement in March.
The festival adds to PromoWest’s existing portfolio of concert venues including the LC Pavilion, Newport Music Hall, The Basement and A&R Music Bar in Columbus, Ohio and Stage AE in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Bunbury Music Festival and Buckle Up Music Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio. “We were excited to expand into the Pittsburgh market with Stage AE and then again into the Cincinnati market with Bunbury and Buckle Up, but for three years I’ve really wanted to bring something big back home to Columbus,” said Scott Stienecker, president and CEO of PromoWest Productions.
“PromoWest produces hundreds of shows annually from a few hundred attendees to tens of thousands both locally and regionally. PromoWest has shown its forward thinking as it has evolved from a simple rock club across from The Ohio State University to a true powerhouse in the concert promotion industry. PromoWest producing a festival in Columbus makes perfect sense, like the prodigal son returning home. We are excited to be part of this next step in the PromoWest story,” says Randy Malloy, owner and president of the longstanding independent alternative radio station CD102.5.
“We’re excited to see Columbus continue to grow its lineup of summer festivals,” said Brian Ross, Experience Columbus president and CEO. “These types of world-class events attract locals and visitors alike. We look forward to showing off the best of Columbus and enjoying great music throughout next summer.”
