Pelotonia keeps growing and growing … and is now too big for the single starting spot at Columbus Commons, according to organizers of the ride that raises millions for cancer research.
So, there will be two Downtown starting locations on Aug. 9 as Pelotonia expects more than 7,000 riders (there are currently a few more than 6,000 riders registered … there was a total of 6,723 riding last year).
Here’s the word from Pelotonia: “To alleviate route congestion and maintain rider safety, Pelotonia has announced a second downtown starting location in the Arena District. On Saturday, August 9, riders participating in the 25- and 50-mile rides will now take off from McFerson Commons in the Arena District starting at 8 a.m. Riders tackling the 100- and 180-mile rides will begin at 7 a.m. at the Columbus Commons as they have in years past. The 75-mile ride will still leave from Pickerington High School North at 7:30 a.m.”
