The Columbus Blue Jackets are bringing back the outdoor ice rink near Nationwide Arena.
The Columbus Blue Jackets Winter Park will run from Jan. 22 though Feb. 21, 2016 at McFerson Commons, south of the arena.
The NHL-size rink will be open for 31 days of public skating, hockey and other events. Worthington Industries is paying for the park.
More than 10,000 people skated on the outdoor rink set up for the NHL All-Star Game in January.
The rink will have bleacher seating for about 500 people, a skate rental tent and four heated locker rooms.
It will cost $5 to skate, including rental. A complete schedule of public sessions will be announced closer to the park’s opening.
Winter Park also will feature a large heated tent that will serve as a hub for weekend entertainment and food and beverage service, and will feature a replica Blue Jackets locker room.
