Nelson’s Convenience Store is open in the Arena District – right in the heart of downtown Columbus. It’s purpose will be to help support the growing employee and residential populations that the Arena District now boasts. With numerous Columbus hotels, apartments, and condominiums, the Arena District has a need for a quick retail amenity such as Nelson’s.
Columbus-based Nationwide Realty Investors the developer of the Arena District, has announced that Nelson’s will open later this summer at 155 W. Nationwide Boulevard, in the area next to Jimmy John’s.
Nelson’s also operates the convenience store inside Nationwide’s corporate headquarters.
“The addition of Nelson’s Convenience Store is a sign of maturity for the Arena District,” said NRI President and COO Brian J. Ellis. “With more than 6 million annual visitors, 17,000 full and part-time employees and nearly 900 residents already in the District, Nelson’s will play an important role as a highly valued amenity for our workers, residents and guests.”
“With a strong professional work force and significant daytime and evening population, the Arena District is a very desirable location,” said Vipin Patel, owner of Nelson’s Convenience Store. “We are excited to be opening in such a dynamic and energy filled environment.”
Nelson’s Convenience Store sells a variety of items including drinks, snacks, beer and wine, greeting cards, over-the-counter medication and gifts. The store is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
