It seems like just yesterday we were watching little Justin Timberlake on The New Mickey Mouse Club House as a mouseketeer, and now we are gearing up for his concert, the 20/20 Experience this Saturday November 16 at Nationwide Arena. Here’s a little slideshow to refresh your memory, and to get you excited for a life-changing experience. Enjoy!
11 year old Justin appears on Star Search wearing a cowboy hat and boots!
Justin lands a role on The New Mickey Mouse Clubhouse airing on the Disney Channel alongside Britney Spears, Christina Aguiliera, JC Chasez, and Ryan Gosling.
Justin, 14, teams up with Chris Kirkpatrick and dancer Joey Fatone before recruiting former Mouseketeer JC Chasez. Justin’s vocal coach suggests daycare-worker Lance Bass, rounding out the quintet. The boys become ‘N Sync, a name coined by Justin’s mother, who rearranged the last letter of each member’s first name.
Justin and Britney Spears finally admit that they’re an item. Fans rejoice over the puppy love. And the matching jean outfits.
‘N Sync releases its fourth album, Celebrity, and it peaks at No. 1 on Billboard’s 200 chart. The key singles are the breakup ballad “Gone” and the heavily R&B-influenced “Girlfriend,” which signals the group’s turn toward hip-hop and gets them airplay on urban radio stations.
Single is the name of the game. Justin and Britney call it quits, and his solo album “Justified” is released. The album offers a ballad, “Cry Me a River,” thought to be a jab at ex-girlfriend Spears (the video for the song makes it clear Justin accuses her of cheating)
Love is in the air. Justin starts dating actress Cameron Diaz. He’s a sucker for blondes.
Justin begins filming his first feature film, Edison, with Morgan Freeman, which goes straight to video. He goes on to film three more movies: Alpha Dog with Emile Hirsch, Black Snake Moan with Christina Ricci, and Southland Tales.
Thank goodness Justin brought Sexy Back. Justin releases his second solo album FutureSex/LoveSounds. The first single, “SexyBack,” is a pulsating tune that Entertainment Weekly dubs a “boldly forward-thinking soundtrack for nocturnal amusements like club cruising and rump shaking. He wins two grammys for this album.
Justin and Cameron Diaz call it quits. Later in the year he is seen with actress Jessica Biel. She was photographed with him while he was touring in the UK.
Hearts are breaking all over the world! Justin and Jessica Biel are married in an intimate ceremony in southern Italy. “It’s great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends,” the couple tells PEOPLE exclusively.
Following a seven-year absence from music, Justin debuts his new single, “Suit & Tie,” and reveals that he will release an album, titled The 20/20 Experience, later this year. “Back in June of last year, I quietly started working on what is now, my next journey with the thing I love called MUSIC,” he writes in an open letter to fans on his website. “The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn’t expect anything out of it.” The 20/20 Experience sells nearly one million copies in its first week and lands the No. 1 spot atop the Billboard 200 chart. Soon after, he embarks on the Legends of the Summer stadium tour with Jay-Z, and reveals that he will release a second album, titled The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2, on Sept. 30.
November 17, 2013 at approximately 8pm: Justin Timberlake rocks the socks off of the fans at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, OH. Will you be there?
