A Mexican restaurant and “sports and tequila bar” opened in the Arena District recently, filling the vacancy left behind by a storied spot of the same cuisine.

Viva Mexican Kitchen, located at 220 W. Nationwide Blvd., launched Feb. 22 for National Margarita Day, according to a Facebook post by the restaurant. The space was previously occupied by longtime Arena District tenant Nada, another Mexican eatery, which permanently closed in May 2025 after 10 years in business.
