Upcoming concerts at the LC Pavilion

September 16, 2013

Lifestyle Communities Pavilion has a lot of jamming left to do this year.  While they’re list of outdoor concerts is winding down, the performers booked for the next few months will not disappoint.  From Ani DiFranco, to Kid Cudi, the mix of genres is sure to satisfy everyone’s musical palette.
Ani DiFranco with Melissa Ferrick– The LC Saturday, September 21
Singer/songwriter/guitarist/poet and multiple Grammy Award nominee and winner Ani DiFranco will hit The LC stage this Saturday. Ani has released more than 20 studio albums to date and has won eight Grammys throughout her 20 plus years in the music industry.  Don’t miss this music icon!
Vampire Weekend with Sky Ferriera– The LC September 23
Describing their sound as “Upper West Side Soweto,” New York City’s Vampire Weekend mix preppy, well-read indie rock with joyful, Afro-pop-inspired melodies and rhythms. Their latest album, released in May 2013, was well received by fans and critics alike and featured hit songs “Diane Young” and “Ya Key”.
Kid Cudi with Tyler the Creator and Logic– The LC September 24
Ohio native Scott Mescudi, best known as Kid Cudi, is a Grammy Award winning, gold-selling rapper, an in-demand producer, and songwriter.  In April 2013, Cudi unveiled his latest masterpiece, an epic third solo album, entitled Indicud.

Gov’t Mule– The LC October 2
Few bands have a reputation for making music as consistently honest, organic, and daring as Gov’t Mule.  They’re the rare rock ‘n’ roll group with an improvisational heartbeat, which allows all four musicians to expand on the songs’ themes in non-formulaic ways.  Front man Warren Haynes, of course, remains one of the most formidable guitarists and vocalists of the modern era, effortlessly cross-pollinating genres and unfurling solos that broil with passion in his distinctive, signature style.
Phoenix with The Vaccines– The LC October 3
French rock group Phoenix draws elements from their eclectic ‘90s upbringing to arrive at a satisfying blend of rock and synthesizers. Band members Thomas Mars, Deck d’Arcy, and Christian and Branco Mazzala got their start on the French bar circuit in the late 90s. Their mainstream breakthrough came with the release of Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix in 2009. The single “1901” was featured in the US during Super Bowl XLV in a Green Bay Packers montage. Their latest album, Bankrupt! is the band’s fifth studio release, which debuted on the American Billboard 200 at #4.
