See the red carpet premiere of "CAMP"
“CAMP” TELLS THE HEARTBREAKING YET UPLIFTING STORIES OF FOSTER CHILDREN IN PASSIONATE SUMMER CAMPS ACROSS THE NATION. MEET THE STARS AND WALK THE RED CARPET FOR A GOOD CAUSE AT THE PREMIERE OF “CAMP” AT THE ARENA GRAND MOVIE THEATRE THIS FRIDAY, April 12.
THE STAR TREATMENT.
First, have your photo taken as you walk the red carpet at the Arena Grand Movie Theatre. From 6-7 p.m., enjoy hors d’oeuvres and mingle with two of the film’s actors, Asante Jones (Parenthood, Law & Order: LA, Desperate Housewives) and Matthew Jacob Wayne (The New Normal, New Girl, iCarly). Posters will be on hand for autographs; formal attire is optional. At 7 p.m., watch the premiere of CAMP with Q&A immediately to follow. Jones and Wayne will be available for questions, along with local foster care experts.
Every penny of the $15 ticket price will go to aid the Royal Family KIDS Camp of Franklin County, on which the film was based. The camp serves children like those in the film who have been removed from their homes due to abuse. “CAMP” will be showing at the Arena Grand until Thursday, April 18. Grab your tickets to the premiere now.
Ann Bischoff, senior director of policy and grants for KidsOhio and board member of the Starfish Alliance, confessed that the film is remarkable. “This film has a way of illustrating the depth of what goes on at camp, how it changes kids lives,” she said. “It gives them hope where there was no hope before. So I’m really excited for other people to see it and experience it.”
