Donate new or gently used musical instruments for free tickets

February 3, 2015

Legendary singer-songwriter Barry Manilow is “hitting the road” ONE LAST TIME!  and hopes others follow his philanthropic lead as he donates a Yamaha piano to kick off a local instrument drive benefitting the Columbus City Schools.  Anyone who donates a new or gently-used musical instrument to the Nationwide Arena Box Office will receive two (2) free tickets (valid for select seat locations) for Manilow’s March 1st concert in Columbus.
“I know firsthand how invaluable music education is,” said Manilow.  “It is a privilege for me to help bring the gift of music to these kids,” he continued.   According to CCS Superintendent/CEO Dr. Dan Good, “Columbus City Schools (CCS) is greatly appreciative of Mr. Manilow’s generosity, and we applaud his commitment to education through The Manilow Music Project, as well as his lifelong contributions to music industry,” “Our students and staff will take great measure to assure that his gift will enhance the creative spirit of CCS families for generations to come.”
The Manilow Music Project (MMP) is part of The Manilow Fund for Health and Hope.  Its primary focus is to provide musical instruments to high schools and middle schools and to provide music scholarships at universities throughout the US, Canada, and the UK.  More information on the Manilow Music Project can be found at www.manilowmusicproject.org.
Instruments can be dropped off at the Nationwide Arena Big Lots Box Office from now through March 1, 2015. The Box Office (drop off location) is open between Mon-Fri 10a-6p; Sat 10a-4p; closed Sunday.   Tickets for Manilow’s ONE LAST TIME! concert are available online at Manilow.com, ticketmaster.com, at the Arena Box Office, or by calling 1-800-745-3000.    ONE LAST TIME! Tour is a co-production of AEG Live and STILETTO Entertainment.
