Creole 2 Geaux Adding New Restaurant in the Arena District

Creole 2 Geaux is going to the Arena District. The local eatery, which began in a food trailer and as a popup, opened its first brick-and-mortar spot inside the East Market this year. It’s now adding a second site at 401 N. Front St., in the Arena District.
While the East Market location will remain focused on dishes that can be made quickly in a kitchen stall, the Arena District restaurant allows Ward to expand the menu.
“We had a really amazing Southern brunch we did at The Blu Note Jazz Café in 2020,” she said. “There are po’ boys that we don’t do at the East Market like roast beef or oyster. Some more involved dishes like etouffee we’ll be able to do in the bigger kitchen.”
