CoGo Bike Share now in the Arena District
October 16, 2013
CoGo has hit the Arena District! CoGo Bike Share launched the end of July 2013 with a network of 300 bicycles and 30 stations located throughout downtown, including a spot right in the heart of the Arena District. Intended to provide Columbus residents and visitors with an additional transportation option for getting around town, CoGo is fun, easy, and affordable.
The system is available for use 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The station network provides twice as many docking points as bicycles, assuring that an available dock to return your bicycle is always nearby. The system includes a fleet of specially designed, heavy-duty, very durable bicycles that are locked into a network of docking stations.
Bike Sharing is an innovative transportation program providing ideal short distance, point-to-point, simple-to-use bikes for moving around the city. It allows users to pick up a bicycle at any self-serve bike station and return it to any bike station in the system’s service area. In Columbus, these stations are located throughout downtown in relative close proximity to each other (about 1/3 mile apart), allowing for easy access and maximum use.
The bike rentals are very affordable. 24-Hour Access Passes (unlimited 30 minute trips) are available for purchase from any CoGo station kiosk using a credit or debit card for $6. 24-Hour Pass Riders are provided a Ride Code to unlock a bicycle and begin a trip. Annual Memberships are ideal for Columbus residents and commuters. You can purchase an Annual Membership online for $75 using a credit or debit card. If you go over the 30 minutes, you will incur a fee of $3 for each additional 30 minutes. If you lose the bike, the charge is $1,200.
