Smith & Wollensky, the dining brand known as “America’s Steakhouse,” renowned for its USDA Prime dry-aged steaks, American Wagyu, award-winning wine list and gracious hospitality, is thrilled to announce its return to Columbus, Ohio. In partnership with Nationwide Realty Investors, the restaurant will be located at the Hyatt Regency Columbus Hotel in a fully renovated first-floor space with elegant dining rooms, an expansive patio fronting High Street, and valet service.
The supreme location in the city’s core entertainment and tourism-centric Arena District is connected to the Greater Columbus Convention Center and steps away from the Nationwide Arena and the Short North Arts District. The brand led an exhaustive search for its new location and is thrilled to have found a home that truly has it all. Downtown Columbus is experiencing a vibrant resurgence, and Smith & Wollensky is proud to be a cornerstone in this revival. The new location not only marks a significant return but also signifies the brand’s commitment to the Columbus community, contributing to both its economic and cultural renaissance.

The new Smith & Wollensky promises to deliver the same exceptional service and quality that patrons have come to expect. Boasting an unrivaled menu of USDA Prime dry-aged steaks sourced by the restaurant’s partners at Double R Ranch and Snake River Farms. Each steak is expertly hand-butchered in-house and char-broiled to perfection and to desired doneness. Signature cuts include the iconic 44 oz. Swinging Tomahawk American Wagyu bone-in ribeye and Long Bone American Wagyu filet. The menu also features fresh, premium seafood, signature starters and sides, and crave-worthy desserts like a Gigantic Chocolate Cake and Baked Alaska. Its Liquid Assets menu features a variety of innovative craft cocktails, in addition to an extensive wine list featuring a diverse selection of vintages from around the world.
Plans are underway with partners at Phaze Zero Design to include both indoor and outdoor spaces, boasting a combined capacity of over 300 seats with three private dining rooms, a large U-shaped bar, and our signature on-site butchery. Once construction commences, the company will share timeline expectations and more details on opening plans.
