Columbus Blue Jackets
The Columbus Blue Jackets, the only major league sports team in central Ohio, played their first regular season game in Nationwide Arena in October 2000 against the Chicago Blackhawks with a sellout crowd of 18,136. In 2004, Nationwide Arena was recognized by ESPN The Magazine as being the No. 1 Stadium Experience among all 121 professional sports teams in North America.
With much anticipation Nationwide Arena and the Columbus Blue Jackets are proud to host the 45th NHL Entry Draft on June 22-23, 2007. Before the first round of the draft, the Jackets will introduce their new home and road uniforms, joining the other 29 NHL member clubs in wearing the Rbk Edge uniforms beginning with the 2007-08 season.
